S2E16 - Electric Feel w/ Grady Lawlor

CineVic Society of Independent Filmmakers Season 2 Episode 16

On today's episode, host Joyce Kline interviews filmmaker, podcast producer, animator and CineVic’s own Vice President, Grady Lawlor.

We all know filmmaking can be a pricey hobby. So why pay to put together a production when you can get the cast to bring you onboard?

Grady turned his love of filmmaking into a life of adventure and heart with wedding films. And if you watch closely enough, even a little bit of magic.

Through Evergreen & Bound Films, Grady and his partner Breanna capture what a day feels like. Representing this in an honest, compelling and thoughtful way.

On the show we cover camera gear, sound equipment and the basics of how to film a wedding that actually brings you back to exactly how it felt.

Joyce digs into Grady’s very own lost wedding ring story via a Tofino surf trip, torrential rain and a first time metal detector.

Fun fact – over 2 days Grady estimates talking to no less than 1000 strangers (aka new friends) while searching for his own treasure. All of them wondering what this smiley guy was looking for.
